Haarlem based singer Maria Masur was born in Berlin and works as a singer, composer and singing teacher for jazz and pop music. She studied both Jazz Voice and Vocal Education in Berlin, Mainz (GER), Stuttgart (GER) and Lisbon (PT) and is the singer of several projects with which she gave concerts in Europe and the US. In May 2018, Maria released her debut album “Jetzt & Heute” (engl. “Now & Today”) with her jazz quartet IMA KYO. A release tour throughout Germany and appearances on radio and television followed. In September 2024 she released her second album “Postcard Picture” with the label DMG Germany. A release tour with concerts in Stuttgart, Berlin, Münster and Cologne followed in 2025.
Maria loves teaching as much as performing on stage. With over a decade of experience and a background in Estill Voice Training, Complete Vocal Technique, and the Neuro Vocal Method, she guides singers of all levels and ages toward their own voice.
In Haarlem, she founded Haarlem Vocal Coaching — a studio where people of all backgrounds come to discover and develop their singing voice in a warm, encouraging environment.
Most recently, Maria launched Zwangles Haarlem, a special course for pregnant women who want to explore singing during this unique chapter of their lives.
